RCC and ESO Winter Concerts

The Holiday season is fast approaching, which means heavy singing time
for me and my choirmates. The Renaissance City Choir has been working very hard on the winter program, especially the Camille Saint-Saëns Christmas Oratorio, which we will be performing at our 25th Anniversary Holiday Concert on December 19th and at the Edgewood Symphony Joyeux Noel concert on December 12th. Squonk Mayhem Preview

Squonk Opera‘s newest show, Mayhem & Majesty is in the process of being created. On November 20 & 21, 2009, they’ll be sharing 10 scenes

ELPC performs "A Sea Symphony"

We (the ELPC Festial Choir) will be performing two movements from Ralph Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony on Nov 9th;

Join us as Jon Tyillian, ELPC’s Associate Music Director and Organ Scholar, presents Symphonic Pipes, an Evening of Spectacular Organ Transcriptions — a concert of orchestral music, transcribed for the mighty Aeolian-Skinner!

Hear Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, Stravinsky’s Firebird, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony, featuring the ELPC Festival Choir and guest conductor Dr. Larry Allen, and more.

"Off the String" Harth Documentary

Matt Reese and Leah Lloyd’s film “Off the String”, of which I was post editor and one of the cameramen, is now on YouTube.

Filmed in 2007, the film won “Best Documentary” in the 2008 Duquesne Student Film Festival.

Variety Show at the Brillo Box

Liz Rishel and myself feel this Halloween is a good time to give a preview of the zombie opera (yes, I said zombie opera) that we’ve been writing. We will be performing 2-3 songs from Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera at the upcoming Variety, Variety, Variety show at the BrilloBox on Thursday, Oct. 29th at 10pm.

World Premiere of "Gravity+Grace"

This weekend I will be singing (alongside other select members from RCC) in a new contemporary opera titled Gravity + Grace.

(gravity + grace) a contemporary opera by Frank Ferraro with music composed by Stephen Pellegrino. The opera exposes the daily struggles of people with Parkinson’s Disease, seen through the eyes of the caregiver and those who are afflicted
