Water Bears VR and HTC givaway

Schell Games audio designer Tim Rosko and I did the audio for Water Bears and there’s a contest where you can win an HTC Vive AND a copy of the updated and beach-i-fied vVR version of WB on Twitter right now. If you haven’t tried out VR yet due to the price point, this might be a great way to get in on the action… and hear me gurgling in your face as a big eyed tardigrade while Tim’s music serenades you:) ‪#‎gameaudio‬ ‪#‎vr‬ ‪#‎vive‬

Sonic the Hedgehog Remixed

Excited to announce that our latest album, “MOBIUS: Sonic the Hedgehog Remixed” by The Materia Collective, has been released and is now available on Loudr, itunes, spotify, and apple music! I sang on six of these tracks, two of which I arranged; yes, my Muppet tribute ensemble “The Bwak Choir” has returned for their take on “Death Eggs Over Easy”, and I went back to my jazzy roots with a different take on the Chemical Plant Zone theme, “Chemical Scat Zone”. Enjoy! #gameaudio

Don Giovanni – Dracula press and reviews!

Here are some postings and reviews relating to the premiere of Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the new libretto I helped write based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula for Undercroft Opera:

Many thanks to all who came out to our production, and to the cast and crew for all their hard work!  I had a blast working on this show, AND getting to be a vampire bride, fangs and all;)

Virtually performing in Dublin

Now I can add ‘virtually’ performing the “Theme from Halo” with Video Games Live for the Dublin International Game Music Festival to my portfolio:) You can see my face pop up a couple times as part of the choir and extra psyched that they kept my thumbs up at the end. Nice to see some familiar faces from the Materia Collective in the ensemble too! ‪#‎gameaudio‬ – Video Link – Intro and Music performed at 58:07

Take a Bite out of Opera!

Mozart’s classic opera Don Giovanni is coming to Undercroft Opera, but with a vampire twist! I worked hard for two months with Liz Rishel, Michael Greenstein,Gwendolyn R. Schmidt and Mary Beth Sederburg crafting a new libretto based on the story and characters from Bram Stoker’s Dracula! In addition to helping write the show, I am also covering the role of “Zerlina” (aka. “Lucy” from the book) and playing one of the “Three Vampire Brides”.  Performances are May 26th-29th at the Antonian Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA. Tickets are currently on sale, $5 off your general or premium ticket if you use the discount code “BOG211”

Panels and Presentations at CMU and Duq

Had the pleasure of presenting at two colleges this week. I was a panelist at Carnegie Mellon University’s ETC for the #CMUthink presentation “Gender in Modern Games”. I appreciated being involved and being able to add my experience of working in game sound to the discussion. Afterwards I returned to my alma mater, Duquesne University School of Music, to do a guest presentation Common Hour about working in the game audio field.  It was a joy talking to the current electronic music and composition majors, and getting to walk around to see the campus again!
