Yesterday I got to sing Handel’s “Messiah” for my first time in years (pre-pandemic and pre- Long Covid). We (Panoramic Voices and the Central Texas Philharmonic) performed Part 1, ie “the Christmas part” and tossed in the “Hallelujah Chorus” by popular demand, with encouraged audience sing-a-long. For those wishing to get home by dinner, that meant only 1.5 hours of concert instead of three! Continue reading
