Going to the HEAR Now: The Audio Fiction and Arts Festival this week? There is a “VR Arcade” section again this year, and you can hear some of my sound effects in “Your Part: “A Fully Foley VR Escapade”:  “Christopher Romero (of last year’s showcase “cVRtain”) returns to HEAR Now with Your Part! Don the VR headset and trigger the Foley sounds that accompany a short piece of play. ‘

This Friday I will be on the panel “Make It, Test It, Break It, Fix It – Prototyping and Feedback in Game Design” from 1pm-2pm at DreamHack Austin 2018​ with Emma Larkins, Nathaniel Chambers, Michael Molinari, and Jeff Fillion. Join us at the Austin Convention Center​ this weekend for what looks to be a very entertaining convention and expo.

I have just received some fantastic news! Our “Dracula Radio Play” , by the Cryptic Canticles, has been chosen as an Official Selection of HEAR Now: The Audio Arts and Fiction Festival, this June 7-10th in Kansas City, MO! Liz Rishel and I will be onsite on Friday afternoon, June 8th (time tbd) to play an excerpt of our audio drama based on Bram Stoker’s classic novel as part of the recorded listening sessions at the National Audio Theatre Festivals (NATF) Playhouse. Read more at the link….

I am delighted to be playing the role of “Monica” in Menotti’s spooky operetta, “The Medium”, performed with the Cryptic Canticles, our team that recently brought you The Dracula Radio Play Project in 2017. I first fell in love with the character of Monica, the daughter of the title character, in one of our earliest Cryptic Canticles productions, titled “Twitterpated” a recital of songs in love and madness. I have since wanted to perform the entire production, and giddy to have that chance Sun, Oct. 28th at the Glitter Box Theater, back in my hometown of Pittsburgh.
