After our successful panel this summer during HEAR Now: The Audio Fiction and Arts Festival, I am pleased to announce Alexander Brandon and I are doing a two day workshop November 4th and 5th, via Zoom, on Voice for Video Games, as part of the “Hear Learn” workshop series. All levels welcome!
I am on the board of NATF and have been active over the last couple years in adding focus on interactive and video game audio to our list of recognized media that thrive and support on voice over. Looking forward to sharing what we know with audiobook, audio fiction, educational, and other non-game voice talent as well as sharing our expertise with those new to, active in, or entering the field of games:)
Sign up soon by visiting natf.org, to secure your digital seat:)
“Through a combination of lectures, group discussion, and attendee participation, our instructors will lead the class through various uses of voiceover in video games, past and present. You’ll engage with the instructors for critique and feedback to hone your acting and directing skills, and there’ll be an ongoing discussion and Q&A about building and maintaining relationships with directors, writers, casting sources, game teams, and more. From creating or auditioning for a casting post, to what to do once the sessions are wrapped up, we will discuss all the skills you need to keep engaged in the profession.”
