Two Weeks of Nonstop Awesomesauce

Hi folks, if anyone was trying to reach me via internet over the past week since GDC I was on a much needed vacation and offline during JoCo Cruise. Ohhhh the irony of a boat filled with nerd icons, geek music celebrities, and no internet!!! We made it work, with analog solutions… aka paper. Now, I’m back on land…. and internet… and time to decompress and process two back to back weeks of networking, speaking, discussions, roundtables and audio awesomeness. Also over 200 emails:) I will be posting slides and materials from my two GDC talks in the near future as well.

“I had a funny dream where I helped host the GANG Audio Awards, and it was awesome”. Nope, was real. You guys were amazing.
Super congrats again to all who were nominated and who won, to our volunteers and community members who helped announce the winners, and to my cohosts Tom Salta and Brian Schmidt for being fantastic and letting me jump on board as the first lady MC;) So many hugs, and fantastic conversations after the show this year.

To my fellow musicians/composers/performers on the I Expect You To Die team, I am still so proud of us for being finalists for the award “Best Original Vocal Song-Pop”. That is a hell of a thing, and was honored to lose to the ever-awesome Austin Wintory in that category. Congrats, Austin, you rock. Hope you had enough bag space for all the awards you got this year, and to you too John Robert Matz for being a dual winner as well!
