48 Hour Film Project 2010

I found myself on team Everything But The Name again this year for the annual Pittsburgh 48 Hour Film Project. This was definitely one of the wackiest films I have worked on to date, we drew Time Travel (genre) and our required elements this year included a pillow (prop) and the phrase “Take your time, I’ve got all day”. I had the pleasure of not only being boom operator this year, but music composer and puppeteer. You can watch our entry, “SleepTalkers“,on YouTube.

Zombie Opera progress report

It has been almost 2 months now since we began producing the video elements for our upcoming show, Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera, and I must say it’s been one crazy ride:)

Positive recent events and links:
• presented our project to attendees of the Sprout Fund Summer Social
• have been asked to run a panel and perform a couple songs at Confluence, an upcoming literary sci-fi convention
• interviewed by Only In Pittsburgh
• were awarded a grant from the Heinz Endowments Small Arts Initiative🙂

Two more weekends of video backdrop filming left to go and our team seems stronger than ever. I feel that we can now proudly say that with over 450 fans following us on our Facebook page, 80 of which have been or are eagerly waiting to be an extra in the video portion, Pittsburgh has welcomed our production into it’s zombie-loving arms:)
