Super Smash Opera Orchestra Update!

After much cat-herding, I am excited to announce that we are expanding the Super Smash Opera creative team to support our plans to add an orchestra (and chorus) for our return to MAGFest in 2016 (application pending!) Welcome to Conductor Ben Wallace, Orchestra Director/Arranger Sebastian Wolff and extra thanks to Jesse Buddington for his willingness to add Chorus Director to his existing singing involvement. Schell Games wins big at Proto Awards!

So… we were nominated for three awards at the Virtual Reality “Proto Awards” in Hollywood…and last night we won all three of them!!!!

  • Best Interactive Design
  • Best Gameplay
  • Best Overall VR Experience

Very proud of our “I Expect You To Die” Schell Games team especially Jared Mason, is always a pleasure to record his voice, Tim Rosko for helping make the audio experience extra awesome and aiding in some rather amusing foley sessions, and many many many thanks to those of you who called in to be on the ‘voicemail for our villain’ that we featured in the car level. Overall the audio on this project was insanely fun to work on and I can’t wait to see whats next for IEYTD;) GO TEAM!!!!

Panelist at AES 2015 in NYC

Zombie Opera Five Year Anniversary at Mr. Smalls

Five years ago, before the days of Super Smash Opera, Liz Rishel and I created something wacky, and true to our Pittsburgh roots.
