Panelist at GDC 2016

It’s official, I’m a panelist at GDC this year, the bio says so😉 So far listed as moderating this year’s “G.A.N.G. Demo Derby: Sound Design” event. One more audio panel I am excited to be a part of is still yet to be publicly announced, stay tuned! Times like these I think there should be a ‪#‎gameaudio‬ conference bingo game! Gotta catch ’em all!

Water Bears comes to VR!

Water Bears was one of the most adorable games I had the pleasure of working on last year at Schell Games. Now, you can hear me gurgling as a pile of tardigrades in high pitch noises in your ear in VR on the HTC Vive!!! The future is now, microscopic yet big as life, and adorable:) Featuring a new and tropical spin on the original sound and music score by Tim Rosko! ‪ Watch the WaterBears VR trailer here! You can get it on Steam here!

Interview with Musicians Friend

The folks at Musician’s Friend/Guitar Center have an industry blog called “The Hub” and I was excited to be interviewed as part of a lineup of video game soundtrack composers alongside associates John Robert Matz and Sean Beeson in Part 2 and Dren Mcdonald, Kyle ‘Kole’ Hicks, Tom Salta and Jeremy Lim in Part 1. Feel honored to know many of these folks personally and can vouch for their awesomeness:) ‪
Note: Contrary to what is printed, I do not ‘present awards at events such as’ I have judged game awards and presented as a panelist or speaker at those events. Looks like they lost a couple words when editing down the article. Either way, happy to be mentioned!

Steam the Opera’s “The Pitch”

Behold, the internet premiere of the first music video for Steam – or – The Specters of the Knox Mill aka Steam the Opera’s song “The Pitch”, formerly heard performed live at our Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera 5 Year Anniversary event and this weekend at the Steampunk Ball & Fashion Cotillion. Great job to all taking part in this great soon-to-be-internet-musical-series especially the main band and project heads Liz Rishel, William Strom, Sean Lenhart, Jordan Speranzo and Edwin Huang! I had a fun time cameo’ing in this video, as one of the members of ‘The Board”, and look forward to popping into future musical webisodes:)

Globetrottin’ Game Audio

So much globetrotting in the last couple days, I’m a bit tuckered but had a blast being a panelist at Audio Engineering Society Convention in NYC, helping out with the The Game Audio Institute ‘Intensive’ workshop and being a ‘Speed Mentoring” mentor at GameSoundCon in Los Angeles. So many amazing people and presentations, all the feels, all the beeps and boops! I do wish all of you who traveled as well safe travels and a hopefully relaxing remain of the week:)
