Mukerjee’s “Liberi Fatali” Music Video

Behold, the music video for Matt Mukerjee’s arrangement of “Liberi Fatali” from The Materia Collective‘s second album “SUCCESSOR: Final Fantasy VIII Remixed”. I had a blast singing on this track, so glad all the performers can all be “seen” together through the magic of video editing:) Youtube Video LinkArticle feature on Gamnesia

GDC 2016 Speaker/Panelist

If there was a “conference guest/speaker Bingo” game I’m starting to wrack up points! I am excited to be an official speaker at GDC this week, moderating the “G.A.N.G. Demo Derby: Sound Design“, panelist for “Everyone at this Conference is a Fraud“, and doing my duty as a Steering Committee Member assisting with this year’s Annual I.A.S.I.G. Town Hall Meeting. #gameaudio

JocoCruiseCrazy, Nerd Music Boat Paradise

Back on land and missing JoCo Cruise and it’s herd of “seamonkeys” terribly already. Was the perfect adventure after a busy and successful MAGFest. The boat was jam-packed with concerts, jam sessions, karaoke, author readings, comedians, gaming, roundtables, panels and more. Highlights included seeing Jonathan Coulton and Paul and Storm together again, meeting Nick Maley (“That Yoda Guy”) on St Maarten, watching Imogen Heap perform live with her new music glove technology, and channeling my “Bwak” during the open mic night. Now that I’m back on land, and with internet again, there’s a week’s worth of emails in my inbox. Thinking happy digital thoughts!

Smashing Success!

Calling Super Smash Opera “Orchestra Edition” a “Smashing Success” feels very appropriate as it was a fantastic production, thanks in part to our hardworking staff, actors, musicians, arrangers, and tech support. We filled the largest panel room in MAGfest to standing room only! I am full of joy, hugs, and pride for our amazing team, supporters and fans for what we have accomplished! For photos, video, and more please see my writeup on the Super Smash Opera blog…

Double news for Schell Games

Lots of great things happening at Schell Games today. We were excited to find out that last night our VR Spy Game, “I Expect You To Die” was awarded the Vision Inspire Award at Vision Summit 2016! In addition, today our latest collaboration with PBS Kids/Fred Rogers Company, “Stop and Go Potty” with Daniel Tiger, went live on the iTunes app store for ipad!  I had a great time working on the sound design for both of these projects and recommend checking them out. Go Team:)

Materia Collective does it again!

I am very excited to announce that The Materia Collective has launched its second album, “Successor: Final Fantasy VIII Remixed”.  It has been an amazing experience working with Materia, collaborating with musicians from around the world, to create these projects. I had the pleasure of singing on six tracks on “Successor”; “Galbadia My Home”, “The Extreme”, “The Salt Flats”, “Dance With The Balamb Fish”, “CASTLE: A Rock Opera”, and “Liberi Fatali 2016”.

MAGfest Networking Audio Panel

In addition to my Super Smash Opera appearances, I am also super excited to be on a panel of Game Audio experts, titled “Making MAGFriends: An Intro to networking in Game Audio” on  Thursday, Feb. 18th at 9pm.

“Networking” is one of the most important aspects of a successful career in game audio. At the same time it is also one of the most vague and frustrating parts of the job when you are first starting out. Who am I supposed to have in my network? How do I get started? What does networking even mean? It is our aim to illuminate and simplify these and other questions surrounding game audio networking. We want to make it as easy as possible to begin building a valuable network of colleagues and friends.

We have a talented and experienced panel of musicians, sound designers, and composers including Gina Zadanowicz, Bonnie Bogovich, Alexander Brandon, Laura Intravia, Wilbert Roget II, Sebastian Wolff, and Spencer Bambrick. We’ll be answering commonly asked questions on networking, giving advice on how to get started, and talking about the do’s and don’ts of building a network. There will also be plenty of time for a Q&A session at the end of the panel.

We’ll also have an announcement for the annual MAGFest G.A.N.G. Hang at the end of the panel so you can meet and greet fellow composers and sound designers at MAGFest!” Full MAGfest panel and performances schedule

Super Smash Opera at MAGfest 2016

We have been officially announced as a Featured Event at MAGFest!!!! I can’t wait to reveal all Super Smash Opera has in store this year with our new “Orchestra Edition”! Special thanks to the hard work of our new orchestra and choral team, Sebastian Wolff, Jesse Buddington and Ben Wallace. We filmed a Pikachu announcement video, but the poor little puppet was too excited to put things into ‘words’, so we asked Sean Lenhart to translate. If you’re coming to MAGfest 2016, you can catch our live Performance on Friday at 1pm and QA panel at 8:30pm!
