This Sunday I am delighted to sing, with Panoramic Voices, Christopher Tin’s “Baba Yetu,” the first piece of video game music to ever win a Grammy! “Composed for the 2005 computer game Civilization IV, “Baba Yetu” has become a popular piece in the choral circuit. And it’s no question why... this upbeat setting of The Lord’s Prayer is both extremely catchy and overwhelmingly powerful. Composer Christopher Tin re-released the piece as part of his crossover album, Calling All Dawns, and in 2011, “Baba Yetu” became the first piece of video game music to win a Grammy!”
