Remote choir digital performances with the C4 Ensemble (Choral/Composer/Conductor Collective) continue this month, as we prepare for “Restricted Movement – C4 Goes Remote #5” on Oct. 29th. I am excited to premiere my latest vocal composition at this concert, “Fish Bowl,” featuring a bit of puppetry;)
I hope you enjoy my quirky tribute to quarantine embedded within this free online performance, Thursday, October. 29th, at 7:30pm CST. on the YouTubes;)
UPDATE: Recording of our concert is now saved online! You can view at the same link, and my composition, “Fish Bowl,” is at the 40 minute 22 second mark:)
Our ensemble has been researching various online chat systems and voice systems to best tackle the lag and latency issues we encounter for group meetings. The winning software so far has been Jamulus, and gives us lots of flexibility with buffer control and tackling the lag. To learn more about C4’s research on Jamulus, and how to set it up for your ensemble, check out their handy “remote choir help” page.
