Big July Update of the arts…

Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera’s Spring Run was a tremendous success. We are very grateful to all who have been part of our team since the writing process began in 2009, how far we have come! After 2 successful seasons, The Zombie Opera will conclude with its third and final set of performances at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater on October 27- 30. Get your ticket in advance to ensure your seat as the Zombie Opera takes one final bow. Stay tuned to the Zombie Opera website for more information.

Once again I participated in the 48 Hour Film Project with my teammates from EverythingButtheName productions. Our genre this year was ‘Science Fiction’, the resulting film was a 1984esque vision of the future if Facebook ruled the world, entitled “FriendStat”, the trailer currently viewable on Youtube.

Three months in and I am still happily working at Schell Games as their sound designer and resident music composer. I am pleased to say one of our projects, “Race to the Beach”, an interactive game for which I was the sound fx designer and music composer, is now installed at Sea World, San Diego as part of the new Turtle Reef exhibit. Video of the exhibit can be viewed here

I am jumping into my second ‘traditional’ opera this season, the first being “Dido and Aeneas” with the Renaissance City Choir this past April. This August I will be performing with Undercroft Opera in their production of Marriage of Figaro. I am very excited to be singing with the chorus for this production. Please visit their site for more details!
